CMPOs in each district must conduct awareness programmes such as awareness campaigns, rallies, marches, informational poster campaigns, social media events, pledge etc.

Activity 2.
CMPOs in each district must conduct meetings with all key functionaries at village, block, ward for prevention and information sharing on Child Marriage in the district.

Activity 3.
CMPOs in each district must coordinate with education department and labour department, undertake a brief survey for identifying vulnerable children at district level.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
  • Activities must be conducted in the leadership of CMPOs
  • Only figures must be filled in all columns of this Annexure and the report of additional activities (if conducted) must be provided separately.
  • CMPOs of all districts must mandatorily cover following topics during Activity 1 and Activity 2:
    • 1. Child Marriage.
    • 2. Child (Male/Female) sexual abuse.
    • 3. A case of child marriage may later fall under the purview of POCSO Act.
    • 4. Section 19 (reporting of offences) / 22 (False reporting) of POCSO Act 2012.
    • 5. Section 23 of POCSO Act 2012 (Non-disclosure of identity of the victim).
    • 6. Video recording of any obscene act related to child is a crime.
    • 7. Storing videos of sexual act with children by any electronic means is a punishable offence under POCSO Act.
